I have some pictures of Naomi on my e-mail that Rob sent. I let the kids look at them. Both Noelle and AnnaBeth are calling her Baby Oh-me. I tried teaching AnnaBeth how to say Nay-oh-me, but she kept saying Nay-me-oh-me and then she decided at the end that Oh-me was easier and so it’s still that. Maybe she’ll learn it before we go down to see them.

Baby who?
Tuesday, June 21st, 2005Naomi came Sunday at 3:28pm
Monday, June 20th, 2005She weighed in at 8 lbs, 8 oz and is 20.5 inches long. She has a head full of dark hair and chubby cheeks and thighs. She’s very alert and enjoys cuddling. I held her quite a lot today. It was so nice holding a newborn baby in my arms again. She’s so beautiful. I’ll post a link to her pictures when the hospital puts them up. Rob is so happy to have his “Father’s Day Baby.”
Unexpected, but very welcome visitors today!
Saturday, June 18th, 2005With a phone call about 2 and a half hours before, Jeremy’s brother Jason brought Ash and Rhesa as well as his African roommate, Richard. It was a good day. The kids were very well behaved. We enjoyed food, fun, and good conversation. Cameras were out and the kids tried to get in as many shots taken as possible. Noelle and AnnaBeth just wanted to have their pictures taken so they could see themselves. Aren’t digital camaras great?
Anyway, just wanted to let you all know I had a great day.
Oh, by the way, if you’re interested, Jason has finished his hiatis and is blogging again.
Naomi is coming soon!
Friday, June 17th, 2005Tabitha’s baby sister will be born soon. I talked to Jill and she said that if she didn’t have her before Sunday, then she’ll be going in to be induced on Sunday night. I’m going to travel down there after evening church. I’ll be so happy to see and hold my new neice and sing with Tabitha. She always likes me to sing with her.
Pray for a safe and easy labor and delivery.
18 months and the versatility of saw horses
Thursday, June 16th, 2005First, today is when Noelle turns 18 months. My baby won’t be a baby much longer, but she’ll always be Momma’s baby. Edit: I just found a molar in her mouth. I was wondering why she was so fussy about 3 or 4 days ago. She has the front four and the one molar. Her teeth sure are coming in funny. End of Edit
Did you know saw horses (or work horses as I keep calling them because you use them when you work in a shop) are very versatile. Not only can you use them to help you with wood work, but we’ve used them to hold up a mattress that needed cleaning, as soccer goals, as the dividing net for badmitton or volleyball with small children, and the legs work great for the game of horseshoes since I don’t feel like pounding stakes into the ground. Plus, they are helping me exercise. I’m getting my weight lifting in by moving them all over the yard for whatever the kids want them for. It’s really kind of nice having them around.
Cool air and Lots of hangers
Wednesday, June 15th, 2005Our air conditioner was slowly breaking down, so a new used one is being installed today. Since Noelle’s clothes are hung in front of the furnace, I had to move them and I noticed that I had a few empty hangers there. I went through all the kids’ clothing and found that there were quite a lot of hangers without clothes on them. I had done some laundry, but hadn’t hung up the clothes yet, so the kids helped me do that. Noelle thought those little plastic hangers were bunches of fun. She spread them out all over the floor and proceeded to hook them together. What a smarty! Well, that drove AnnaBeth nuts and she kept undoing them. They kept each other busy the whole time I was putting the clothes on the hangers and both were a little mad when I was done. LOL Who needs toys when plastic hangers, cardboard boxes, or a few blankets can be so much fun? Hangers are puzzles, boxes are cars, and blankets are capes or tents.
I’ll be happy when these air conditioner guys are done. I’ll be cool and I can let the kids out of this room. They kept bothering the guys so I have imprisoned them in here with me.
Doing better
Tuesday, June 14th, 2005I’m feeling much better. My throat is still raw, but it doesn’t hurt much anymore. I’ve been downing green tea like crazy. I love that stuff when I’m sick. Actually, I like it all the time, but when I’m sick it’s my drink of choice as opposed to my usual drinks which in the morning is a hot chocolate and in the evening a Dr. Pepper.
I’m a little sick today
Monday, June 13th, 2005I’ve got a sore throat and a headache, but I still have to take care of these 5 wonderful kids. I hope I feel better later today or if not, at least tomorrow.
Another pic of Noelle
Friday, June 10th, 2005Jeremy’s Mom posted another picture of her. As you’ll see, she is quite proud of those few steps she can do.
One step, two step, three step, FALL…
Thursday, June 9th, 2005Well, we’re getting a few steps from Noelle, but that’s about it. She has a little trouble moving her right foot and keeping her balance. When she does make a step that works with that foot, it is usually a very small one.
Not long now. Makes me a little sad.
