Just Think About It

Friday, April 14th, 2006

What happened many years ago? Jesus was crucified on the cross. He took all OUR sins (past, present, and future) onto Him and died for US. Wow! He loved US so much He did this.

John 3:16 – “For God so loved the WORLD (all people) that He gave His only begotten Son that WHOSOEVER (anyone) believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Another Beautiful Day

Thursday, April 13th, 2006

It’s supposed to be around 80* today. Of course, we can’t walk to McDs again as that was our family eat out meal for this week, so we are probably going to take a walk after lunch and hopefully that will get the little kids all tired out and able to get to sleep easily for naptime. Plus, it will give me some exercise. I don’t have the time to spend outside like I had yesterday. I need to get lots of inside stuff done today, but my breaks may be spent outside.

Beautiful, Beautiful Day!

Wednesday, April 12th, 2006

Today is a gorgeous day. Nice and sunny. Around 75*. AnnaBeth and Noelle wanted to blow bubbles as soon as breakfast was done. I had to make them wait until the dishes were done (no dishwasher, except my hands… that is until I teach Amie and James.) I went out there and they were only interested in the bubbles for about 5 minutes and then they started playing with other things. Christine came out after her chore was done and then not long afterwards, James came out. He had done his chore and his math, so he was ready for his break. I started picking up sticks and trash that had blown into our yard and thinking about how I want to change the yard. They had it nicely landscaped, which will be pretty when it is all blooming, BUT it isn’t really children-friendly, so I’m trying to figure out what I want done. Most of what we’ll do will have to be done in the fall when I can transplant all the bulbs. I’m afraid that my favorite flowers out there are not really transplantable, so I’m trying to figure out whether I want to keep them or not. I’m going to take a picture once the big trash pile is no longer in our driveway.

Anyway, back to today. Amie came out to play after two pages of math were done. For lunch, we walked up to Jeremy’s work and then went on up to McD’s. Guess what? When you don’t get kids’ meals, it costs a whole lot less. Jeremy had to leave before we were all completely done because his lunch time was over. We had an Amish mom and her three kids eating at the table next to me. I enjoyed talking with her. She enjoyed talking to me about our homeschooling material, which I think I mentioned before is mostly Rod and Staff, which is a Mennonite publishing company. After McD’s, we went over to the General Dollar store and got a big thing of bubbles (since we were almost out) and sun visors for the kids. I also got water bottles for AnnaBeth and Noelle because they didn’t have one yet. By the time we got home, Noelle was ready for her nap, so she’s asleep now. AnnaBeth is going down for her nap. Christine and James are playing outside. I’m going to call James in when I’m done posting to have him do his reading and phonics for me, but mostly I’m letting them enjoy this first really beautiful day. Amie will be going out in a moment when some more of her school work is done. She’s happy that it’s such a nice day because she can walk to ballet by herself again this week.

Coffee Drinker and Blogger?

Wednesday, April 12th, 2006

Want to try some good coffee for free? If you blog and are willing to do a coffee review on your blog, then Blogger’s Fuel is looking for you. They have a few openings left for reviewers for their new line of coffees for bloggers. Jeremy and I will be reviewing some on this blog. The coffee is made by Boca Java so it’s going to be some good coffee. Oh, and if you want to buy any, I have a link over there at the side, so they know I sent you. Jeremy loves the good coffee like this and he’s excited to be able to try them.

Thus ends the commercial. We will now get back to your regularly scheduled program.

I Don’t Need This

Tuesday, April 11th, 2006

A migraine. Those headaches that just don’t let you function normally. I have two loads of laundry waiting to be folded and more waiting to be done. I got more dishes washed this morning and I think that was the end of them until we get more boxes from the storage unit. I’m going to rest for a while and hope this goes away. It’s making me sick to my stomach.

Oh, and I have NO idea where any of my medicines are. I may send Jeremy out for something if this isn’t gone when he comes home.

Laundry, Laundry, and More Laundry

Monday, April 10th, 2006

It took about 8 loads to catch up from having no washer and dryer. Now I’ve started on bags of clothes from our storage unit. Some of the clothes have been in there for a little over 2 years. I know there will be stuff that doesn’t even fit Noelle now. I only have 4 bags of clothes right now and they were close to the front, so they haven’t been in there that long, but I’ve already found some 6 mo and 12 mo clothes that I’ll be sending to the Crises Pregnancy Center. When Jeremy gets to the storage unit again, he’ll be bringing more back. I’ll be going through clothes for weeks! Phew! Just the thought makes me tired.

Ok, enough break, back to folding.

We Have…

Sunday, April 9th, 2006

clothes washer and dryer and dressers! Yay! With the crazy weather and things going wrong with different trailers, we finally got those from our storage unit yesterday. We also got our kitchen table, chairs, and the computer table. That makes our house a little more livable. James doesn’t have his dresser yet. It is at Jeremy’s parents’ house, but we have two dressers in the room for Amie, Christine, and AnnaBeth and two dressers in the master bedroom. We can get the girls’ clothes and our clothes out of boxes. We can wash the dirty clothes. Laundry’s been going non-stop while we are awake and home. It had a break overnight and while we were at church. So far, I’ve folded five loads of laundry. I haven’t tried matching up the socks from those loads yet, but will do that later today.

Anyway, I apoligize for posting so much. I guess I’m feeling behind because of the week I was gone. LOL

Wallace and Grommit Come True?

Saturday, April 8th, 2006

My kids were just asking to see the latest Wallace and Grommit movie today. Unfortunately, our TV and DVD player are not hooked up and may not be for a few more days since it isn’t high priority… for the adults anyway. Then, this news article hit my eye. I couldn’t help laughing.

I think this will be my last post today.

An Amazing Event

Saturday, April 8th, 2006

Amie ate BEEF yesterday! If you know my daughter, she has been on a beef strike for about 4 years. She hasn’t liked eating anything with hamburger or any other type of beef in it, except for all beef hotdogs which she didn’t know were made of beef. Anyway, to the point of my post… yesterday Jeremy made a yummy beef and broccoli stirfry. After the first mandatory bite (house rules, you must eat 1 bite of everything before leaving the table,) Amie ate the whole thing and even told Daddy how much she loved it. Maybe we’re near the end of this stage? I sure hope so.
