Oh Lord, Help Me

Thursday, September 7th, 2006

Lord, I’m so confused.  I don’t understand what all is going on right now.  I am sure You will get it all straightened out.  My service and my friend’s service to You here is being questioned by others and it is so hard to keep myself from worrying about it.  I know You have it all under control.  Please help me to be calm and figure out why You are letting this happen.  Thanks for Your presence with me at all times.  I can feel the Spirit working in me letting me know that You are working on this.  You had just the right scripture for me to read in my daily devotions last night.  I praise You for all that You are doing for me.  Amen.

Oh*no!

My*keyboard*is*no+*working.

Spacebar*and*one*le++er*are*ou+.

Can*you*guess*which*le++er?

Edit: I love having a hubby who works at a computer place.  Old keyboard, still works fine, but no longer being used.  I knew he wouldn’t put up with the other keyboard.  He can’t do his work here at home with no space or “t”.  He found some others that I didn’t find that were messed up.  He said the old keyboard had somehow re-programmed some of it’s curcuits.  The spacebar was doing what the “home” button does.  The “t” was being backspace.  The “end” button was a “g”.  The “5″ made a drop down menu.  It was kind of funny, but annoying.

Rhyming Words

Wednesday, September 6th, 2006

We are into rhyming again.  It is time to teach Christine about how words rhyme.  She has most of the concept okay, but everyonce in a while she says she is rhyming and she is actually using alliteration.  Amie and James like listening to the short stories I’ll sometimes do with words.  I usually do the “ed” sound.  Fred, Ted, bed, red, said… and so on and so forth.  Today, Amie decided to do a small sentence… “I have a stomach-ache, so I will bake a cake with snake.”  I have a feeling that this will get crazy by the end of the day.  I have a fake stomach-ache, so I will make the snake rake around the lake, while I have the drake bake a cake for my sake.

Tweaking

Monday, September 4th, 2006

I need to tweak my story a bit. I need to add forgiveness. I need to add something about how it isn’t always easy for her even after she chooses to follow.

It is a story in the works. You all have the third draft in the previous post. I don’t plan to change a lot, but I’ve thought of a few things. I haven’t changed it any yet. I will.

Edit: I put some additions in.  The ones I mentioned above.

In a Room

Note to Readers: This, of course, is a fictional piece of work. It just came to me a few nights ago. It is kind of long. Please excuse any problems with it.

Beanbag Fun

Saturday, September 2nd, 2006

My son has a big beanbag chair that is colored like a soccer ball.  He never sits on it, but he does all kinds of other things with it.  Sometimes it is used as a punching bag while practicing his Kung Fu.  Sometimes it is used as a sheild in one hand while he holds his foam sword in the other hand.  Sometimes it is used to swing at his sisters, like in a pillow fight.  At the moment, it is being used as a landing pad.  The kids are getting up on the wide arm of our couch and jumping onto it.

I’m just waiting for it to bust open and have little white thingies fly all over the living room.  Then he’ll have a lot of vacuuming to do.

Finally, the Rest of the Pictures

Friday, September 1st, 2006

I can upload onto my Flickr again. Yay!

In no particular order, pictures from the reunion and some random summer pictures. I didn’t put them into any set yet. I’ll put them in soon, into the order where they belong.

edit: I put them in the sets now.  The reunion ones and most of the others went into the Summer 2006 set.  The ones about Amie and her penpal went into Amie’s Summer set.
