Baby wants to conquer Mother!
Cats. Mittens has been the number 1 cat around here for the last year. When we had Tiger Lily, she had no problem with keeping Lily in submission to her. Charlie hasn’t ever challenged her before until this week. Suddenly, he has realized that he isn’t that much smaller than his mom now. Every night, they go around having fights. Neither of them are noisy, so there is no yowling or even a squeak. It is a quiet wrestling, chasing, and nipping. Mittens can’t even turn her head a little bit during this time each evening or Charlie is leaping at her and knocking her head over heels. So far, she is still the winner and pins him under her a few times each day, but I’m not sure how long it will last. I give her a few more months of leadership and then I’m sure he’ll be as big and strong as she is. I think in the long run that he’ll be the one on top. Give him another 6 months or so.
