Ok…so my dad used to tinker with TVs. While they were plugged in! There were some image problems on one we had and to fix it, he wiped the cathode ray tube (I think that’s what it’s called) and that did it. There was an incredible amount of static electricity and I think it traumatized me for life. LOL.

I think Jeremy is planning to take it to his work and get rid of it with the computer stuff they dispose of.

I never knew electrical charges are held in an unpluged T.V. or computer monitor.
I question if all electrical devices hold their charge?

I never said I was going to tinker with it or let someone else do it. I said “Iâ€™m almost thinking” as in I’m joking. You know how people will say something like that in an exasperated voice when they can’t think of anything else.

Ditto. It ranks right up there with tinkering with a computer monitor. Don’t mess with it if you have the slightest bit of doubt as to what you’re doing.

tinkering with a tv is extremely dangerous, fyi. It doesn’t fully dispell it’s electrical charge and if you are not very careful it can actually kill you.
