MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Oh what a beautiful day! We got up at around 7 am and had a cup of hot chocolate to help us adults wake up a little. Then we went into the living room. We sang to the little saviour (actually, Christine was singing “Happy Birthday, God” with her own little tune) and then passed out our stockings. Noelle was thrilled over each and every little thing she pulled out. When we got done, we passed out presents. We do it one at a time to let everyone see what each person got. That way the person who gave is able to see the reaction of the receiver. We all laughed at AnnaBeth’s reaction almost everytime she opened a present. They were all in boxes. She LOVES boxes, so she got excited over getting a box before she even found out what was in it. (Another box! Yay!) I’ll tell you what we got the children… Amie got a “big girl” purse, a nice Hello Kitty one. James got a Bible along with a cloth camoflage bible cover that says “Army of God”. Christine got a scoot-board (scooter, but wider and with 4 wheels, so steadier). AnnaBeth got a pink suitcase and Noelle got a bonnet and broom because she keeps trying to take my broom while I’m sweeping. Now she can help me.

After opening presents, we got dressed and went to church. It was an informal service, but my girls, except Noelle, wanted to dress up. Amie was actually offended that church on Christmas would not be a dress up time. Jeremy and I wore our nice pants and tops because we couldn’t go to church on Sunday morning in anything less, but it was still kind of informal for us.

My brother and his girlfriend along with her kids came for dinner. It was nice visiting with them. I felt bad. They got presents for us, but we didn’t have anything for them.

My brother gave his girlfriend a ring… and she’s wearing it. Yay! A wedding in the future.

Well, I’m going to go join my family for a little longer before bedtime. I hope everyone else had as nice a Christmas Day as we did. God bless you all!
